The killer part is the engine. 563ci dual quad. Big boats are cool but sleeper big boats rule. Np I think too.

Nah the “killer” part is the 10 bodies you could put in that gigantic trunk

Oh come on that's a 15 body trunk at least.

It’ll probably get better mpg than the original motor.

Seriously, are there any modern cars with anywhere near the trunk space of these old boats?

Oil. You’ll need to import oil. Start with a tanker or 3.
Saw that car yesterday, on Barnfinds I think. I absolutely love that the mods are invisible until you open the hood (or presumably start the car).
Awesome.

I don’t think so no “cars” anyway I think the town car while it was still around was as close as you could get

Only if you cut them up and pack it neatly. If you’re just throwing whole bodies in there willy-nilly it’s probably only 10.

Well there’s always e85 .
I might like this one better. Hard decision.

It all depends if you can stack 3 rows of 5 or 2.

I really prefer the look of the Mark III, especially given the lack of 5 mph bumpers.
Oh and I just noticed that the gold car is listed at $10k. I’m pretty sure that’s ab out what it would sell for with the stock motor in it, so this is a big NP from me.

Good point and black is a better color.

Black is the best color on a MkIII, for sure.
I have a neighbor selling a dark metallic red Town Car (I posted a potato pic the other day) and I love that color on the late 70s Continental/Town Car.

WANT
though I hope that engine has a reasonable cam in it; it would be uncouth to have a shaky idle in a Lincoln.

Believe it or not, that’s leather, and fairly durable stuff too, probably better than on 90% of modern cars.

Pretty sure most 3rd row CUVs don’t have this much space even with the 3rd row folded down.

Wouldn’t be so sure. I used to average 22-24 mpg from my 1966 Electra 225 sedan. That had a 465 Wildcat and a 3-speed auto.

I love how Ford re purposed Hi-C cans and used them as vacuum cannisters.
+1 for eco-friendliness

D on’t all the hot water bags they recycled too.
We used to replace those cans with a beer can in the 80s.

You’ll like it more once you sit on it, indeed like being on a cloud. Cars of that era have more than their share of issues, but interior materials were generally good, especially on premium brands - high quality cloth or thick durable leather.

I had a 78 cougar that was all vinyl but comfortable. Damn thing was a tank couldn't kill it. Except for all the interior switches that failed like clock work.

That’s something they did right, comfort. One also has to recall speed limits were lower then, so demands were different.
